Everything you need to know before you book your first experience
At Luminous, we believe that the best experiences begin with good preparation.
Our experiences are designed to be authentic, meaningful and enjoyable while respecting the people, culture and natural environments of Crete.
Please take a few moments to read the information below before booking or participating in one of our experiences.
1. Respect & Participation
Our experiences are based on curiosity, participation and mutual respect.
By joining a Luminous experience, participants agree to:

Follow the reasonable instructions of the Luminous facilitator throughout the experience.

Respect fellow participants, local communities and cultural traditions.

Help us create a positive, safe and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.

Inform the facilitator immediately if they feel unwell or require assistance.
2. Your Wellbeing
Most Luminous experiences are suitable for people with an average level of mobility and fitness.
If you have any medical condition, allergy, injury or mobility limitation that may affect your participation, please let us know before the experience begins.
We are always happy to discuss whether a particular experience is suitable for you.
3. Walking & Terrain
Many of our experiences include light to moderate walking through villages, archaeological sites, olive groves and natural landscapes.
Participants should expect surfaces such as:

Stone streets

Uneven pathways
-
Natural trails
-
Archaeological terrain
-
Steps and gentle slopes
Please wear comfortable walking shoes suitable for outdoor environments.
4. Weather
Our experiences take place outdoors throughout the year.
Depending on the season, we recommend bringing:

Comfortable clothing

Walking shoes

Drinking water

Sun protection
-
Hat
-
Light jacket when appropriate
In the event of severe weather or other conditions affecting participant safety,
Luminous School of Creation reserves the right to modify, postpone or cancel an experience.
5. Food & Dietary Requirements
Some experiences include meals, tastings or local food experiences.
Food is prepared and served exclusively by licensed restaurants, catering companies
or authorised local partners.
Please inform us in advance of:

Any medical dietary requirements
6. Travel & Medical Insurance
International visitors are strongly encouraged to maintain valid travel and medical insurance covering their stay in Greece.
Your insurance should ideally include:

Emergency medical treatment

Hospitalisation

Personal accident
-
Trip interruption (optional)

Repatriation where applicable
Luminous does not provide travel or medical insurance for participants.
If you are unsure about your coverage, please contact your insurance provider before travelling.
7. Photography
Photos and short videos may occasionally be taken during our experiences to share the spirit of Luminous School of Creation with future guests.
If you prefer not to appear in photographs or videos, simply let your facilitator know before the experience begins.
We will always respect your preference.
8. Children
Children are welcome where the specific experience indicates that it is suitable for younger participants.
Parents or legal guardians remain responsible for children throughout the experience.
9. Accessibility
Many of our experiences take place in historic villages, archaeological sites and natural environments.
Unfortunately, some locations include uneven surfaces, steps or terrain that may not be fully accessible for visitors with reduced mobility.
If you have any questions regarding accessibility, please contact us before booking.
We will always do our best to recommend the most suitable experience.
10. Respect for Heritage & Nature
Our experiences take place in locations of cultural, historical and spiritual significance.
We kindly ask all participants to:

Help preserve the natural environment by leaving no trace.

Treat wildlife, plants and local communities with care and respect.
