Luminous Yard
the quiet art of togetherness
Here, life moves
at human pace.
Luminous Yard is a shared living-field in Crete,
a space of work, presence, and simple co-creation.
People come here to live simply together for a while
— close to nature, the land, and daily life.
In that simplicity, space opens for connection, play,
and moments of shared presence to arise in their own time.
Work becomes ceremony
when done together.
Where
• Crete, Greece
• outdoor, yard-based land
• close to nature, the land, and daily life
• simple camping and shared spaces
• seasonal and weather-dependent living
Presence grows
in the quiet intervals.
What happens here
Life at Luminous Yard unfolds through shared presence, curiosity, and daily rhythm.
There is no fixed program. What takes shape depends on the season, the land, and those present.
Over the course of time together, moments may include:
• shared meal and daily life
• land and yard projects
• walks and hikes in the surrounding landscape
• informal encounters with Cretan culture, Minoan and Greek myth
• simple ways of marking time, arrival, or change
• optional small workshops and reflective spaces inspired by Eleusis,
offered as invitations for self-inquiry and clarity
• playful explorations, games, or treasure-like discoveries
• music, movement, creative evenings, or quiet time together
Role & Holding
The Yard is organized and held by us as the hosts of the space.
We take responsibility for the container, the practical rhythm of shared life, and for offering certain activities that may arise during the time together.
Participation is always voluntary, and each person remains responsible for their own experience.

Money
Participation at Luminous Yard involves a daily contribution
of €30–35 per day, with a minimum stay of 14 days.
Discount for children on request.
This contribution supports shared living on the land, including basic food staples, one shared meal per day, use of the yard and common spaces, water, utilities, and the time and presence required to hold the space.
One shared meal is usually prepared together each day.
Breakfast and other meals are self-organized using the shared kitchen and personal supplies.
Basic drinks and shared staples are available.
A sliding scale may be possible in some cases and can be explored in direct conversation.
Final framing is subject to local legal and tax considerations.
Responsibility & Agreements
Luminous Yard is a shared living space, not a managed service environment.
Each participant remains responsible for themselves, their health, and their choices throughout their stay.
• participation is self-directed and voluntary
• personal travel and health insurance is required
• respect for others, the land, and shared spaces is expected
• a participation agreement is required before arrival
• public liability insurance is in progress
Luminous Yard functions through mutual respect, communication, and shared responsibility rather than rules or supervision.

A space for other facilitators
If you hold space for others —and you are looking for a place that holds space for you —Luminous Yard may be what you have been looking for.
We open our land to a small number of facilitators, teachers, and community holders each year who wish to bring their own group to Crete and use this place as the ground for their own work.
You keep full ownership of your programme, your participants, and your practice.
We offer the land, the rhythm, the shared table — and, where it adds something, the depth of Cretan and Minoan life that surrounds us here.
What is available to your group
Living space Up to 10 participants in tents within the yard.
Those who prefer to bring their own tent are welcome at a reduced contribution.
Shared kitchen, communal fire space, outdoor areas for gathering, movement, or quiet.
Shared table
One shared meal prepared together each day.
The table is a central rhythm of life here — it can become a natural part of your programme or simply be a moment of rest between sessions.
Cretan experiences
We can offer, by arrangement, Minoan ceremonial hikes to significant sites in the area, wild herb walks in the surrounding landscape, and special picnic experiences in nature — with traditional Cretan delicasies.
These are offered as optional invitations, not fixed programme elements.
Event infrastructure
From our years as event creators, we have a range of equipment available — chairs, tables, props, ceremony materials, picnic furniture for outdoor gatherings — that facilitators are welcome to use with advance arrangement.
Our presence
We are here as the holders of the land and the container of shared life. We do not enter your programme unless invited. What we offer is the ground — steady, real, and ready.
What we ask in Return
Respect for the land, the space, and the other people present. A shared conversation before your group arrives, so we understand each other.
And the willingness to let things unfold simply.
Contributions are arranged on request, in direct conversation with us.

We work with a small number of facilitator groups each season,
so that each one receives our full presenceand the space keeps its integrity.
If you feel something here, write to us.
Tell us about your work and what you are imagining.
We will take it from there.
Inspiration is not free.
It asks for responsibility —
and becomes real only
when lived in truth.
