Some passages are not meant to be understood.
They are meant to be crossed.
Katharsis
An initiatory passage of remembrance
Katharsis is not a workshop.
It is a passage.
It is a moment where what has been carried —
personally, ancestrally, quietly —
is allowed to be released
without analysis
and without performance.
Rooted in Eleusinian remembrance,
Katharsis is lived through body,
land,
sound,
and presence.
Not to change who you are.
But to let what is no longer needed fall away.
Release does not happen through effort.
It happens through contact.
What Katharsis is
Katharsis is an embodied initiatory experience
held in nature and ancient land in Crete.
It is guided through:
- sound and silence
- spoken word in Ancient Greek and English
- living hymns and resonance
- stillness, movement, and barefoot walking
- shared witnessing without interpretation
Ancient words are spoken not as performance,
but as living language.
The body is invited to listen
before the mind tries to understand.

What Katharsis is not
Katharsis is not therapy.
It is not healing tourism.
It is not role-play or reenactment.
It is not a promise of transformation.
Nothing is forced.
Nothing is induced.
What is ready to leave, leaves.
What is not, stays.
The body remembers
what the mind learned to avoid.
How this is lived
Katharsis unfolds over half a day.
Participants are guided gently and precisely
through a sequence of presence, sound, silence, and movement.
At moments, eyes are closed.
At moments, the feet touch the earth.
At moments, nothing is asked at all.
The passage is held — not pushed.
Each person meets exactly what is present for them.
This work does not seek intensity.
It allows honesty.

Who this is for
Katharsis is for those who feel
that something is ready to end
without drama.
For those who are no longer seeking answers,
but clarity.
For those willing to be met
without being fixed.
What is released
makes space
for is real.
Katharsis & Eleusis
Katharsis is an embodied expression of Eleusis.
What is remembered inwardly
is allowed to be released outwardly.
Eleusis restores contact.
Katharsis allows the body to follow.

Practical Notes
Katharsis is held periodically in Crete.
Participation is by request.
Details, timing, and location
are shared privately
with those who feel aligned.
Participation is limited to small groups
to preserve the integrity of the passage.
Not every threshold is crossed
by moving forward.
Some are crossed
by letting go.
