A living article on what we are building together in Apokoronas, Crete

There is a difference between gathering and meeting.
We gather at markets, in stadiums, at events designed for consumption.
But to truly meet is something more rare. It happens when human beings arrive a little more slowly, a little more honestly, not as roles or as personas, but as themselves.
The Human Circles that began in Apokoronas, Crete, are born from this shift that human society goes through these years.
They are places where people meet beyond money or status not to prove something, but as a simple experiment in what becomes possible when interaction softens and people begin to notice each other again.
What remains is something familiar, almost remembered.
Skills are offered.
Time is shared.
Knowledge moves from hand to hand without a price tag.
Someone shows how to preserve food.
Someone else brings seeds.
A child learns something from an elder who quietly realizes they still carry it
or teaches something the adults have forgotten.
"This is not a market. There are no prices. It is a space where you can notice what you need and what you can offer."
The circles meet every two weeks. They are open to everyone. They ask only one thing: a small moment of honest reflection before you arrive.
What do I need right now?
What can I offer?
At Luminous School of Creation, everything unfolds in simple movements.
First, a return coming back to yourself beneath the noise,
remembering what is already there.
Then, a gentle opening meeting others, and yourself, with a bit more honesty, a bit more presence.
And then, this: the Human Circle.
The moment where something inner begins to take form in the world around us.
A quiet return to yourself.
A simple, real contact with yourself and with other human beings.
Its all about parea.
Creating together, in a natural and unforced way.
The circles are not about performance or perfection.
They are spaces where people arrive as they are sometimes clear, sometimes uncertain and something begins to align through the simple act of being together.
From circle to festival of light
A circle that works in natural flow is not forcing to be grown.
It simply invites it not like an organization with structure and pressure,
but more like the light: spreading naturally, without losing its source.
What begins as a small gathering in Apokoronas, people sharing skills, time, and presence carries within it the possibility of something much larger.
A festivity of light.
A living community.
A place as a Luminous area where people meet not through competition, but through co-creation, collaboration, service, and togetherness.
"The flame is already inside. Human beings create circles
small points of light where we share what is human.
We offer, we find, we help, we connect, we create, we rejoice together."
This is not something designed from above. It was inspired from above as our times shift and something in people everywhere begins to remember.
It grows quietly from real moments: a shared jar of olive oil, a conversation in a garden, a skill passed on without overthinking it, a good thing you have in abundance and want to share.
Each exchange adds something.
Each circle connects something.
Over time, a network of humans appears simple, humane, and strong.
A seed, not a blueprint
Luminous spaces of humans like this is not a plan.
It is a direction, a natural destination that forms when enough people choose, again and again, to meet in circles rather than in markets.
To create with each other rather than for each other.
We are not building it.
We are becoming it, together, one gathering at a time.
When sharing becomes remembering
There is a moment in a real circle after something has been shared, after people have settled — when things become a little softer.
The question of who gave and who received fades.
What remains is a simple sense of being together.
This is what the circles are for.
Not efficiency.
Not extended structure.
Just the quiet recognition that we are not as separate as we sometimes think, and that our intention is for things to unfold in the flow.
The flame is inside every person.
When it meets another flame, it does not divide.
It grows. Something becomes more, naturally, without effort.
This can be felt, again and again, in simple moments, in simple places in a garden in Crete, on a Saturday afternoon, with people you didn't know last month.
The Human Circles are just this:
a space where something inner finds a way to exist outside as well.
Where being alone and being together no longer feel so separate.
Where creating with others becomes simple again.
An Invitation
Come as you are. Bring what is yours to bring.
The circles meet in Apokoronas, Crete, every two weeks.
There is no membership.
There is no fee.
There is no requirement other than the willingness to ask yourself two honest questions before you arrive.
What can I offer?
What do I need?
Topics of conversation and practical exchange in the circles may include:
Growing and preserving food
Forgotten crafts and skills
Energy and water
Collaboration between neighbors
Forms of learning for children and adults that feel alive and meaningful
But mostly, you come because something in you is curious.
Because you sense there might be another way to be with people.
And because in a circle where people allow themselves to be real in discussion, exchange, and real projects something happens that cannot happen alone.
No competition - No money
Apokoronas, Crete
Every two weeks
Open to all
Shine Bright!
